Julian Mander... What can we possibly say...

Never before have the UCAN Board found themselves as ‘at peace’ with a decision whilst simultaneously being absolutely gutted. The only explanation is that this must be from God. With our great thanks, enthusiastic support but also genuine sadness, we have to announce that Julian will be moving on from UCAN at the end of this year, courageously responding to God’s call to focus on the growth of the Riverside Money Advice service in Birmingham https://riverside-moneyadvice.org.uk. Julian has been nothing short of amazing for UCAN and without a doubt the network wouldn’t be where it is today had it not been for his involvement. We will take the opportunity in the coming months to celebrate and honour Julian’s contribution properly, but for now we want to say thank you so much Julian, we love you. We asked Julian to share in his own words what this transition means to him, so please click here to find out how his journey shares parallels with Harry Potter and what lessons you can learn about courageous pruning. (His own words, but we take credit for the photo!).

In next month’s mailing we’ll also take the opportunity to introduce you properly to our latest addition to the board, long standing UCAN member and Ops Director, Mark Parsons.
