Cutting Edge Thrives Digitally

This month, UCAN’s flagship “Cutting Edge” conference was streamed live from St. Saviour’s Church in Guildford. Over 80 delegates joined us from the comfort of their own homes and offices, watching live sessions and accessing on-demand content.

An on-demand digital release will be published shortly for those who couldn’t make it, and you can expect to see elements from the keynotes and seminars appearing on our website, newsletters and forum posts throughout the year.

Conference delegates currently have extended access to the content through the conference platform for use with their church colleagues.

John Truscott focuses this month on the particular Church of England process of selecting a new minister, and what qualities to look for in a new minister. Every church has to see a change of leadership at some time, and if you’re not part of the CofE tradition, these are excellent materials to enlighten us all as to a model, prayerful approach of entrusting the church community into a pair of safe hands.

So, what does “Spreadsheets and Prophecy”, the Cutting Edge 2021 conference, and the CofE patronage process have in common?

All highlight the perfect blend of administrative processes in harmony with the guidance of the Holy Spirit flowing through the church.

As we enter Summer and the continued impact of lockdown delays, may you intentionally find time to anchor yourself in God’s presence, and know his comfort, guidance and preparation for the next season.
